Having re-joined the firm in January 2020 Leenamari Aantaa-Collier is a Partner and Heads up our Planning Law Team.

Leenamari is a renowned specialist in both contentious and non-contentious planning law, including work for the NHS on issues arising from applications, obligations, appeals and plan making.

Her expertise also spans to energy subsidy issues and advising the select committee in the House of Lords on the conflict between the planning and licensing regimes.

She uses her experience to lead the planning team at Wilkes in navigating planning legislation for clients as well as working to grow the firm’s excellent reputation in both the private and public sector.

With over 25 year’s experience in his field Baljit is a highly experienced corporate lawyer having held partnership positions at two international law firms. He has also had experience working client side as in-house counsel within a large multi-national corporate.

Baljit has extensive experience across the corporate sector specialising in the technology, media, retail and leisure sectors, with a focus on fund raising, restructuring business development and M&A strategies as well as working with private equity funds.

Throughout his career Baljit has also worked extensively with internationally mobile clients and businesses across India (from a previous role as Head of India) the USA, France and Germany.

Sharon started at Greenwood Solicitors in 1987 and joined the Commercial Debt Recovery team at Wilkes in October 2019.

She specialises in commercial debt collection on behalf of businesses of all sizes and has expertise of dealing with companies across a variety of different sectors.

Sharon is also experienced in dealing with High Court Enforcement Applications and ensuring that clients are kept informed with enforcement action. She has a fantastic reputation amongst her clients for delivering successful outcomes in respect of unpaid debt.

Owen joined The Wilkes Partnership as a trainee solicitor  in 2017, qualifying into the Corporate team in 2019.

As a newly qualified solicitor, Owen advises on a wide range of corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations, fundraising and share buy-backs.


Rupinder has been with The Wilkes Partnership since 2014, joining as a Paralegal in our Property Litigation & Contentious Probate Team before going on to complete her Training Contract with the firm.

She is now a newly qualified solicitor in our Property Litigation & Contentious Probate Team in Birmingham. She advises on a wide range of Contentious Probate matters such as Will challenges and Inheritance Act claims as well as Property Litigation matters including Landlord and Tenant issues for both commercial and residential properties, boundary disputes and lease extensions.

Having previously been with Wilkes between 2013 and 2016 Karen Maddox rejoined the Wilkes Real Estate team in September 2019.

Karen has experience over a range of property matters such as sales and purchases, acting for lenders in relation to secure lending and landlord and tenant matters.

Tom joined Wilkes in February 2019 and has over 17 years’ experience as real estate solicitor and in that time has dealt with a wide range of transactions including landlord and tenant advice, sales and acquisitions, development matters and secured lending.

Having joined Wilkes in 2019 from Coley & Tilley, Neil is an Associate in our Real Estate team based in Birmingham.

Having joined Wilkes in 2019 from Coley & Tilley, Grahame is a Consultant Solicitor in our Real Estate team and is based in our Birmingham Office.

Grahame specialises in Commercial Property and Commercial Law and has been qualified for over 34 years.  After studying Law at Birmingham University.

Having joined the firm in 2019 from Coley & Tilley, Andrew is a Solicitor within our Commercial Dispute Resolution Team.

Andrew has experience of debt recovery, small claims and fast track litigation for both private individuals, businesses and charities.

He also works alongside our employment team on contentious litigation matters such as unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, advising both the employer and employee.

In addition, he has worked alongside senior solicitors on complex multi-track matters and appeals.
