About Harriet:

Harriet Critchley is a Senior Associate Solicitor specialising in Property Litigation. Since joining Wilkes in October 2022, she has brought extensive experience in handling both commercial and residential property disputes. Harriet’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including lease renewals, dilapidations claims, forfeiture, break notices, and landlord and tenant work.

Her career began at a national law firm in Bristol in 2008, before returning to the West Midlands, where she has worked for national and regional firms specialising in property litigation. Harriet’s recent work includes acting for landlords in high-value dilapidation claims and contested lease renewal cases, such as a significant case in Digbeth, tied to the area’s redevelopment plans.

 

Credentials

Harriet is a member of the Property Litigation Association (PLA) and Women in Property. Her expertise has earned her recognition as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500. Harriet is also a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, highlighting her broad understanding of property issues across various sectors. Outside of law, she holds several wine qualifications, including WSET Levels 1, 2, and 3, and the French Wine Scholars Guild, combining her professional focus with a passion for wine.
