The Wilkes Partnership have formed a Sustainability team with the aim of promoting sustainable working across the firm.
Our Vision
We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment. We will do this by being energy efficient, working in a paperless manner, recycling as much as possible, reducing waste and encouraging each other to be more mindful to protect the planet.
Current Initiatives
- Paperlight working: The firm has adopted a "paperlight" approach. This means that we prioritise the use of paperless and hybrid files (for those departments unable to work in a paperless manner). We have managed to reduce our printing by 86% and continue to work towards being even more paperless in the future.
- Recycling: We have introduced recycling points across our offices to encourage staff to recycle waste rather than throwing it in the bin.
- Hybrid working: The firm have adopted a hybrid working model which not only has increased flexibility for our staff but helps to reduce their carbon footprint.
- Office equipment: Working closely with our IT department, the team are always looking for new ways for the firm to be more energy efficent. We have introduced a "sleep schedule" on our printers which will save energy. We also encourage all staff to turn off lights and equipment when they are not in use.
