The Wilkes Partnership Elevates Its Position Among Region’s Premier Law Firms in Prestigious Legal 500 Rankings

The Wilkes Partnership has been recommended across 13 categories in this year’s highly anticipated 2024 Legal 500 rankings.  This signifies progress with three additional categories being ranked, as well as an improved ranking for Private Client. This elevated performance demonstrates the firm’s consistent efforts to enhance its services across the wide range of legal services it provides.

The Legal 500, a well-regarded platform, ranks law firms in the UK and globally based on their expertise in different areas of law, aiding clients in swiftly identifying leading law firms by specialism.

Among the new entries this year, the Business Immigration department, led by Pam Sidhu, made its debut at Tier 2. Pam’s adeptness in advising clients on immigration laws has been instrumental in establishing Wilkes as a valuable partner for businesses securing overseas talent. The Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury departments, both led by the highly experienced Annmarie Wilde, have been ranked at Tier 4 and Tier 5 respectively. Annmarie’s proficient handling of clinical negligence and personal injury claims ensures clients receive the outcome and compensation they deserve.

As well as three new entries, the firm was particularly pleased to see the Private Client team advance from Tier 3 to Tier 2 in the category of Wills, Trusts & Probate.  All other recommended departments maintained their current rankings.

Ellie Holland, Managing Partner and Partner within our Private Client Team, remarked on this progress made in Legal 500 rankings,

“The advancement from Tier 3 to Tier 2 for Wills, Trusts & Probate is a proud moment for us. It’s a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collective endeavour of our entire team. This achievement motivates us further to continue delivering excellent service to our clients.”

In individual accolades, the firm celebrates Pam Sidhu‘s recent appointment to the position of Partner, alongside her recognition as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ by the Legal 500. This double recognition underscores Pam’s exceptional expertise and her pivotal role in developing Business Immigration and Employment services at Wilkes.

Commenting on the recognition Pam said,

“I am honoured to be recognised as a ‘Next Generation Partner.’ As we continue to navigate the complexities of business immigration law, my team and I remain committed to delivering the highest standard of service and support to our clients. This achievement is not only a reflection of my dedication to the position but is also a reflection of the trust our clients place in us and the firm’s increasing international focus. I am grateful for the opportunities and am committed to delivering excellence at every step.”

Furthermore, we have seen the addition of seven solicitors across the firm identified as ‘key lawyers’ spanning five different departments, showcasing Wilkes’ commitment to nurturing talent and ensuring exemplary service to its clients. These include Partner, Chris Allen-Jones (Family), and solicitors Adrian Shuck (Private Client), Gail Hope (Family), Matt Hartas (Corporate & Commercial) Kate Campbell-Gunn (Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury) Harriet Critchley (Property Litigation) and Aimee Redican (Property Litigation).

The Legal 500 rankings 2024 reflect not only the hard work and dedication of the entire Wilkes team but also the remarkable individual performances that contribute to delivering excellent legal services for Wilkes clients across both their business or personal needs.
