Joanne also specialises in probate sales which involves the sale of property from a deceased persons estate on behalf of the executors.

Sian is a family law solicitor, member of Resolution and also a registered Collaborative lawyer.
She has extensive experience and undertakes many aspects of family law work including divorce, financial settlements – whether by agreement or through the court process, pre-nuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and children issues including residence, contact, internal relocations and leave to remove from the UK.
Sian also has experience of working with families surrounding surrogacy issues.

Aaron has been with Wilkes since 1987 and has been a Partner and Head of the Family Law Team since 1996.
He has In excess of 30 year’s experience in resolving family law issues. He specilaises in providing clients with expert and bespoke advice in respect of both financial and children matters for married couples and cohabitees.

Sophie is an experienced private client solicitor helping individuals plan for the future.
She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is a highly regarded industry standard for private client lawyers. She advises on will preparation, inheritance tax planning, trust and estate administration.
Sophie’s particular focus is on providing clear, accessible advice relating to issues encountered by older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. This includes advising on trust provisions, the Care Act, putting in place powers of attorney and applying to the Court of Protection.
Sophie acts as a professional attorney and is appointed by the Court of Protection as deputy for clients who lack mental capacity to manage their property and affairs.
She is a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly, a specialist group of lawyers aiming to support and make a difference to older and vulnerable people. She sits on the committee of the Birmingham branch.
Ann-Marie has over 20 years’ experience in dealing with a wide range of Private Client and specialises in both Notary and Court of Protection matters.
Ann-Marie has extensive experience of acting on behalf of incapacitated clients as a professional deputy and has served on the deputyship panel of the Office of the Public Guardian.
In 2018 Ann-Marie also qualified as a full member of STEP, which is regarded as the industry gold standard for leading private client lawyers.
Her clients include those wishing to put in place Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and deputyships.
As a professional deputy she also manages the property and financial affairs of incapacitated clients. These include those with limited assets to large multi-million pound estates.
Ann-Marie and her team are also specialists in acting as deputies for large personal injury/ medical negligence compensated clients.
She has also recently been appointed as a health and welfare deputy which allows her to assist incapacitated individuals on their medical and care decisions.
Ann-Marie also advises on all aspects of mental capacity law and the recent deprivation of liberty safe guards.

Ellie has extensive experience across the range of inheritance tax related issues faced by private individuals and can assist with both lifetime planning and post-death solutions.
As well as drafting wills and advising clients to mitigate inheritance tax, Ellie has a particular focus on estate planning for high net worth individuals and works alongside our Corporate team in assisting owner managed businesses with inter-generational planning. She provides pragmatic solutions allowing clients to maximise the assets they pass to their families.
In addition Ellie administers trusts and estates and she has experience in dealing with high-value estates for clients across the Midlands and further afield. She assists clients with all of their trust related requirements, from the initial drafting of trust documentation through to administering the trust in full.
Her clients include those wishing to put in place Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deeds of Variation and Declarations of Trust.
