Wilkes assists with securing £1 million investment for Forge Care

The Wilkes Partnership Corporate Team recently acted for Forge Care in assisting the company secure a £1 million investment from Midlands Engine Investment Fund through Midven to support the roll-out of their care model.

 

The deal was led by Rick Smyth, Partner and was supported by Christie Nelson, Solicitor.

Forge Care is a community, sanctuary and home that enables a fully therapeutic experience for children who have faced disruption to their early development with severe early-life trauma. The company offers a nurturing environment that is designed within a living system. Forge Care create a community rather than expecting children to integrate into residential areas.

The £1 million investment will enable Forge Care to open its first therapeutic community in Nuneaton. This will house 24 children and will create more than 80 new jobs in the local area.

Once the first site has been established, Forge Care will be searching for further locations in the country to roll out their care model in.
