Wilkes assists with securing £1 million investment for Forge Care
The Wilkes Partnership Corporate Team recently acted for Forge Care in assisting the company secure a £1 million investment from Midlands Engine Investment Fund through Midven to support the roll-out of their care model.
Forge Care is a community, sanctuary and home that enables a fully therapeutic experience for children who have faced disruption to their early development with severe early-life trauma. The company offers a nurturing environment that is designed within a living system. Forge Care create a community rather than expecting children to integrate into residential areas.
The £1 million investment will enable Forge Care to open its first therapeutic community in Nuneaton. This will house 24 children and will create more than 80 new jobs in the local area.
Once the first site has been established, Forge Care will be searching for further locations in the country to roll out their care model in.
Gavin Miller, CEO of Forge Care comments: “It was a pleasure working with Rick and the team at Wilkes again after collaborating with them earlier in the year. The team are attentive and ensure that the job is completed in a timely manner. The investment is going to help the business develop, provide economic growth in the region and provide care for our future residents.”
Rick Smyth, Partner at The Wilkes Partnership said: “It was a pleasure to work with Gavin again by fundraising the monies that will see Forge Care accelerate their growth. This demonstrates Wilkes’ commitment to provide a supportive and close working relationship with SMEs.”
