The Wilkes Partnership takes the Solihull Zero Suicide Pledge

The Wilkes Partnership has proudly taken the Solihull Zero Suicide Pledge.

Losing a loved one to suicide is a tragedy that causes a ripple effect that impacts on families, friends, colleagues, communities and societies.

But suicides are preventable, and by taking this pledge Wilkes is joining forces with people and organisations across Solihull to prevent suicide.

We pledge that we will:

  • Make a commitment to look after the health and wellbeing of our staff.
  • Encourage our staff to make their own personal Zero Suicide Pledge.
  • Encourage our staff to complete the Zero Suicide Alliance 20 minute online training.
  • Encourage our staff to reach out to others if they are worried about them and signpost them to support.

Our pledge is one of many initiatives we are undertaking to celebrate World Mental Health Day on Monday 10th October.

Andrew Garland, Partner and Mental Health First Aider comments: “As a firm, we have an ongoing commitment to supporting our employees’ mental health. We want to create an environment where our employees can speak honestly and openly about their mental health without fear of judgment.”

“The Solihull Zero Suicide Pledge is a fantastic initiative and we are honoured to be working alongside others to achieve the long-term ambition of having zero suicides in Solihull.”
