Kate Hackett, Corporate Partner at The Wilkes Partnership, has advised on the sale of the industrial adhesives group, Techsil.

The Techsil Group specialises in the distribution of industrial adhesives, sealants, tapes and dispensing equipment to manufacturers across the UK.

The Warwickshire-based company, which has been established for over 30 years, had been owned by Paul Hughes for the last 14 years. The deal, which completed at the end of August 2021, puts Techsil in a strong position for future growth in the industry.

Wilkes’ Partner Kate Hackett said: “It was a pleasure to work with the Techsil Group again; building on an almost 15-year relationship between The Wilkes Partnership and the company. The deal puts Techsil in a great place for the future.”

Paul Hughes said: “Kate and her team are always responsive and deliver a really high level of quality advice and service to the company.”

This latest deal follows a busy period for the Wilkes corporate team who have recently completed a number of deals including acting on the sale of Offshore Stainless Supplies to Steel Dynamics, creating a £35m turnover business.

Based in Walsall, Offshore Stainless Supplies was founded 21 years ago by Chris Joyce and his wife Linda. The business produces and supplies stainless steel and high nickel products for various industries including offshore, oil and gas, marine, transportation, automotive and construction, both within the UK and worldwide. Wilkes has been the legal advisor to Offshore Stainless Supplies since it was formed back in 2000. The business has been acquired by Steel Dynamics in a move which reinforces its position as the UK’s largest stainless plate processor. The North West-based business has acquired Offshore Stainless Supplies to create a combined business with revenues of over £35m and more than 100 employees.

Chris Joyce of Offshore Stainless Supplies said: “I have benefitted from many years of advice from Kate and her team have been a great support during the process.”
