Wilkes Corporate Team Advise Johnson Fellows on Acquisition of Salway Bradbury

Partner Gareth O’Hara and Assistant Mike Linford of the Wilkes Corporate team have advised Birmingham-based Johnson Fellows as it bolstered its presence in the Midlands commercial property market with the acquisition of chartered surveyor Salway Bradbury. Nick Wint, partner at Johnson Fellows said the deal was a “fantastic coup” for the company.

Salway Bradbury provides specialist advice and services in retail, office and industrial agency as well as development consultancy and acquisition advice. Its office agency department acts for major funds such as M&G and Credit Suisse in Solihull and the south Birmingham region. The acquisition of Salway Bradbury is seen as the perfect fit to help grow and complement the existing services offered by Johnson Fellows.

Wint added: “It’s not every day you wake up in the morning and decide to buy a business. It’s not an easy process, but the advice we got from the Corporate team at Wilkes was absolutely first class. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They not only helped us put the deal together but were able to offer a terrific all round service that brought into play their other departments to get the deal done’.

Gareth O’Hara commented, “Nick Wint and his team demonstrated that they have the appetite and ability to deliver these sorts of deals. They remained constructive and committed throughout the process and, as always, were active in finding solutions – not problems. We hope that this will be the first of many deals that we do for them. We look forward to working with them again in the near future.
