Wilkes Advises on Landmark Merger Between Merriott Plastics and Talisman

The corporate team at Wilkes, proudly acted for Merriott Plastics to facilitate the merger between two of the UK’s premier contract moulders, Merriott Plastics and Talisman. This strategic merger will create a multi-site, multi-competence business poised to deliver enhanced product development, manufacturing, logistics, and technical support to customers, particularly in the Midlands, South West, and South East regions.

The newly formed entity will be jointly led by Shaun Champion of Talisman and Andrew Lawrence of Merriott Plastics. Andrew Lawrence expressed his enthusiasm for the merger, stating,

This merger is a significant step for both companies, each with a rich legacy. Talisman, formerly known as LGG Charlesworth until 2018, boasts a history of over one hundred years, while Merriott Mouldings began operations in Merriott, Somerset, in 1938, and ICM in Rochester, Kent, in 1947. Both companies are esteemed members of the British Plastics Federation, contributing greatly to the UK plastics industry.
