Legal Secretary – Private Client – Birmingham City Centre

VACANCY FOR A FULL TIME LEGAL SECRETARY with experience of Private Client work

to join The Wilkes Partnership, 41 Church St. Birmingham City centre

We seek to recruit a permanent full time legal secretary to join the Private Client team at our City centre office.  The team consists of 6 qualified solicitors, one trainee solicitor and 3 legal secretaries.

Essential requirements

  • To have previous recent law firm experience, with Private Client experience
  • To deal with work with accuracy and speed by typing/document processing large and small legal documents, including correspondence and bills, from manuscript or digital dictation, with minimal supervision
  • The firm uses TIKIT case management system and Big Hand dictation
  • To undertake diary management, task management and general support for busy fee earners
  • Be able to maintain a good organisation of new and ongoing files (paper and electronic)
  • To have a good telephone manner; to be able to take messages from new and existing clients on the telephone with accuracy
  • Have a good interpersonal and team working skills
