Birmingham residents can get into the spirit of Christmas early and meet the real Finnish Santa Claus on Friday 2 December. Organised by the Finnish embassy in conjunction with Wilkes, Father Christmas is making the trip from his home in Rovaniemi, Lapland to visit Birmingham for one day only.
Members of the public are invited to come along to Birmingham’s Christmas Markets between 3pm and 5pm on Friday to meet Santa, take a picture with him and receive a hand-written Christmas card from the man himself.
Our elves will also be raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital throughout the day, so please dig deep and help us support this fantastic local charity.
In addition to visiting the Christmas market, Santa’s day in Birmingham will also include visits to the Children’s Hospital as well as a children’s party at the Council House hosted by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham and a selection of local businesses.
