Sophie is an experienced private client solicitor helping individuals plan for the future.
She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is a highly regarded industry standard for private client lawyers. She advises on will preparation, inheritance tax planning, trust and estate administration.
Sophie’s particular focus is on providing clear, accessible advice relating to issues encountered by older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. This includes advising on trust provisions, the Care Act, putting in place powers of attorney and applying to the Court of Protection.
Sophie acts as a professional attorney and is appointed by the Court of Protection as deputy for clients who lack mental capacity to manage their property and affairs.
She is a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly, a specialist group of lawyers aiming to support and make a difference to older and vulnerable people. She sits on the committee of the Birmingham branch.
