Her career began as a technical writer for software which provided a strong foundation for her faultless attention to detail. After completing her training contract with Coley and Tilley, Jo moved to Bell Lax before returning to the Wilkes Partnership.
Since qualifying Jo has developed her professional skills in dispute resolution. This is a challenging area of law but it makes full use of her listening and communication skills. She reaches for the very core of an issue, unravelling complex problems, and then works towards a solution.
Jo has a solid background in dispute resolution and litigation, representing clients both in person and at remote mediations. She is adept at ‘without prejudice’ negotiations, and is experienced in both fast track and multi-track litigation, including preparing cases for trial.
Jo is a confident representative of both private clients and businesses. She has successfully represented clients in will disputes and inheritance act cases, executor/administrator disputes, and ‘disappointed beneficiary’ claims. She has honed her skills in property litigation matters resolving disputes on behalf of both commercial landlords and tenants, and tackling dilapidations claims.
Jo is flexible, capable, tough and persistent. She is creative in her approach but she is also a pragmatist. Clients can rely on Jo to deliver a satisfactory and workable solution.
