We’re delighted to welcome our latest recruits to the team, Laura Kelly and Sydney Evans who join the Wilkes Partnership on a two-year Advanced Apprenticeship in legal services.
On successful completion of training, Laura and Sydney will earn their CILEx qualifications and the ability to operate as paralegals. The apprenticeship route is proving increasingly popular for talented young students who have the drive to gain professional and vocational qualifications but without the added time and expense of a degree.
Comments Wilkes partner, Kate Hackett “These apprenticeships are a great opportunity for high calibre school leavers and college graduates to enter the legal profession through an alternative route, where they get on-the-job experience as well as one day per week’s study at college”.
Continues Kate Hackett: “This route allows our apprentices to become familiar with the different areas of expertise the firm has, enabling them to be ready to hit the ground running as the vital paralegal resource and admin support team our lawyers depend upon”.
Apprentice Laura Kelly said: “I had just finished my A-Levels when this apprenticeship opportunity came along. For me, it’s a great alternative route into a legal career – meaning I don’t need to spend three years at university and can earn money while I’m learning”.
