Multi-skilled team from the Wilkes Partnership completes an international deal for UK based client

The Wilkes Partnership’s collaborative approach to client service has seen another international deal successfully over the line. Led by consultant Jeremy Parkin, the team tackled corporate, commercial property and employment law issues to deliver a successful sale for a growing local business.

Jason Asser is the MD at Thermal Transfer Solutions Ltd (TTS) and Thermal Printer Support Ltd (TPS) in Redditch. The companies are an established part of the global printing market, supplying printing goods and a specialist repair service.

Jason and business partner Paul Board called on Wilkes to advise on a deal which would see ownership of both businesses pass to GT Holdings (HK) Ltd, a Hong Kong-based subsidiary of Chinese company Todaytec. He said “It has been a real pleasure to work with Jeremy and his team as they guided us successfully through the sale process to completion. They really helped us understand the process fully and supported us in the most professional and personal way. What a great team and a great company to partner with.”

Jeremy was pleased with the outcome “While the Wilkes Partnership may not match the scale of some in this industry, we can certainly match and exceed their client service. The companies were not in a traditional group structure and TTS also included two Dutch subsidiaries in the deal. Taking all of these elements together meant that effecting the transfer of ownership took a good deal of consideration and planning. The contribution of each member of the Wilkes team helped the whole process to run smoothly.”

Jeremy was assisted by Owen Shave, a Solicitor in the Corporate team, Leighann Richards, a Senior Associate in the Real Estate team, Sarah Begley, a Solicitor in the Employment team, and trainee Solicitor Jack Milnthorpe. Zhong Lun Law firm represented the buyer.
