The Wilkes Partnership have advised Warwickshire based company JP McGurk Holdings Ltd in its successful acquisition of Martin International Ltd, owner of Brook Business Park near Coventry.
Corporate Partner Rick Smyth led the deal with support from Mike Linford (corporate) and Andrew Watts (property). The business park is home to a number of the region’s leading companies including Joe Delucci’s, Safari Island and Semcon Ltd as well as being the home to the company’s trading subsidiary, JP McGurk Ltd, one of the UK’s largest Aston Martin specialists.
John McGurk owner of the company said; “We were hugely impressed by the way in which Wilkes handled the deal. Rick and the rest of the Wilkes team expertly guided us through both the funding and the acquisition process. We would not hesitate to recommend their services to other businesses”.

The deal was financed by Clydesdale Bank who were similarly delighted to be able to support JP McGurk on their new venture. As part of the deal Wilkes also advised on a group restructure, helping secure the future prosperity of the business. David Thomas, from accountants Spencer Gardner Dickens advised on tax.
The deal marks yet another success for the Wilkes Corporate team, who have had a record breaking start to the financial year. The corporate team is continuing to grow, with new additions starting later in the summer.
