The Corporate team at The Wilkes Partnership led by Gareth O’Hara has provided legal advice on the purchase of Birmingham-based Kingshurst Automotive by Easy Autocentres. Based in the Midlands and led by Managing Director Chris Kisby, Easy Autocentres operates under the HiQ franchise and has a network of 19 units across the Midlands region.
Easy Autocentre was formed from a management buy-out from Goodyear Dunlop in 2008 and the business has since restructured, seeing improvements in profitability.
Recognised as one of the leading independent fast fit operators in the Midlands, the Kingshurst acquisition represents a significant stage in Easy Autocentre’s growth. The team at The Wilkes Partnership provided legal advice on the purchase and refinancing aspects.
Gareth O’Hara, Partner and head of the Corporate team at The Wilkes Partnership comments “We were delighted to provide legal advice in connection with the purchase of Kingshurst Automotive and to work alongside a management team striving to deliver exceptional service to the local region; we enjoyed working with the team at Springboard on this exciting opportunity involving some major household names”
Easy Autocentre is planning further acquisitions of a similar calibre to Kingshurst and looks forward to its next phase of growth.
Continues Gareth O’Hara “We wish Chris and his team all the very best as the Easy Autocentre store network continues to grow and continue its expansion across the Midlands”.
