Our Commitment to Community

We believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact beyond the legal services we provide. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are driven by a genuine commitment to social, economic, and environmental well-being. Charity of the Year

In 2023, we proudly announced our Charity of the Year for 2023-2025 as Marie Curie. Marie Curie provide expert hospice care, support over the phone, and push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system. Over the last 10 years, Marie Curie has delivered care to over 13,500 patients in the West Midlands, providing nursing services in patient’s homes as well as in the In-Patient Unit at the Marsh Lane hospice.

Our CSR Team work tirelessly throughout the year to organise a series of fundraising activities and events to raise awareness and donations for Marie Curie, as well as to support other local causes. These include a charity bike ride, a team office race, Christmas Jumper Day, and participation in the Giving Tree appeal to name just a few. These events not only contribute to fundraising but also foster a sense of community and fun among our team.

Volunteering

We are dedicated to making a positive impact on our local community with a key focus on volunteering. This commitment not only benefits the community and society but also offers valuable opportunities for our employees to build connections and develop essential soft skills such as coaching, leadership, and organisational abilities.
We provide every employee with two volunteer days per year and actively encourage our employees to support projects they are passionate about, both through firm-sponsored initiatives and personal volunteering efforts.

The CSR committee oversees the selection and organisation of specific volunteering projects throughout the year, collaborating directly with charities and individuals involved. While the firm sponsors various projects, employees also have the flexibility to engage in personal volunteering activities that align with our CSR objective of supporting the local community. These include initiatives such as:

  • Coaching a youth sports team
  • Voluntary Gardening
  • Litter Picking
  • Volunteering within your local community

Supporting Local Communities

Through our CSR initiatives, we contribute to local food banks by organising food drives. Recognising the critical role food banks play in supporting people in crisis, we are dedicated to making a meaningful impact on those in our community facing challenging times. By engaging our employees and the wider community, we aim to create a collaborative effort that not only provides essential resources but also promotes awareness and empathy for those experiencing poverty.

Additionally, we actively participate in the Kids Out Giving Tree campaign, where we contribute to ensuring that every child, especially those who may not otherwise receive a gift from "Santa" during Christmas, receives a gift from the campaign.
We also proudly sponsor local sports teams and clubs. As well as encouraging our staff in their personal charitable endeavours. Through these diverse initiatives, we strive to create a positive and lasting impact, reinforcing our dedication to building a stronger, more resilient community.
